Knot Your Father’s Irish Artist
Creating Celtic-knot artwork has been a passion of mine since I was young, creating my first Celtic-knot designs in my high school art class in 1981. Because of this fascination, I went on to pursue a visual communications degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. After a long carreer as a technical illustrator, I reconnected with my love of Celtic-inspired artwork.
It began with a simple idea. A one-of-a-kind drawing of my family name, Drummond, as a gift for my father. When family and friends admired the piece, I realized that there are many other families that would enjoy celebrating their Irish surnames with this same kind of artwork. That was in 2013. Fast-forward to 2022, and my collection includes 525+ Irish surnames, 25+ Irish places, Gaelic greetings, Celtic symbols and a line of notecards in Gaelic and English. Every year my wife and I travel across the U.S. to feature my artwork in the largest Irish festivals. My collection is also featured on this website.
My family and I currently live just outside Cleveland, Ohio (USA) in the charming town of Independence. You can contact me directly using the form below.
